Wawana Dome is easily visible on the hillside above the hamlet of Wawona, at the south end of Yosemite National Park. South and West facing, and sitting at 6000’, Wawona Dome offers great face and crack climbing nearly year round. 700’(6 pitches) at it’s longest, Wo Dome can be sunny and warm in the winter and gets morning shade in the summer.

Wawona offers a National Park Service campground, vacation rental homes, and the historic Wawona Hotel(only dining option) as well as a gas station and two small grocery stores. The South fork of the Merced river runs through town and provides numerous awesome swimming holes. Yosemite Valley is one hour away.

Peregrine Falcons occasionally nest on Wawona Dome and the surrounding satellite rocks. Voluntary closure of any routes where a nest exists, from Jan.-Aug. is recommended.
